By Aaron Humes: A Guatemalan construction worker says he was robbed in Belize City early on Sunday morning.
According to the complainant, he was walking in front of Las Palmeras hotel on George Street between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM when he was approached from behind by two unidentified men. The assailants attacked him, resulting in minor injuries, and stole a total of $800 along with his black Samsung A14 cellular phone, valued at $475.
Ramirez was escorted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. A medico form was issued, confirming the nature of his injuries as minor.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding this robbery to come forward as the investigation continues.b
