Robbery reported at Navarro’s Gas Station in Santa Elena Town

By Aaron Humes: Police are looking for two suspects in Saturday evening’s robbery of Navarro’s Gas Station in Santa Elena Town, Cayo District.

According to police, the suspects wore motorcycle helmets and held up the proprietor with a firearm. They told the proprietor and his worker to get on the ground and stole $4,000 cash; two Nokia cell phones with a total value of $1,400 and the key for a pick-up truck parked in the yard. They further caused injury to the worker by gun-butting him in the head.

Police chased the suspects through the Hillview area where they dumped their motorcycle, helmets, and the clothes they were seen in during the robbery.

Investigations continue.
