By Aaron Humes: Police have detained several persons of interest in a late evening robbery on Friday in Corozal Town.
The proprietor of Rainbow Town Supermarket on Fifth Street North reported that just before 8 p.m. Friday, a masked and armed man held her up at gunpoint. He and his companion stole $3,000 cash from her cash register and then fled on separate bicycles toward Sixth Street North.
The first robber stood about 5 feet 5 inches tall, was dressed in full black with a jacket and a hoodie, and a white mask covering his entire face, while the second man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall was dressed in a blue jacket with hoodie, a grey long jeans pants with a white face mask covering.
The robbery was captured on surveillance cameras in the area. Police are investigating.
