By Aaron Humes: Late Tuesday night, a man identified as Ricardo Arturo Escobar, 37, was fatally shot on Nurse Findley Crescent. Police report that the shooting occurred around 10:45 PM when Escobar was approached by an unknown gunman who opened fire, striking him multiple times.
Escobar was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Despite the doctors’ efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Initial investigations by the Crimes Investigation Branch have revealed that several shots were fired at the victim, and evidence collected from the crime scene included multiple 9-millimeter shell casings.
Police have stated that the gunman fled the scene immediately after the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the identification and capture of the suspect.
