By Breaking Belize News Staff: Residents across Belize are waking up to a wet and cloudy Sunday as a tropical wave affects national weather conditions. The forecast calls for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms—especially over southern and central areas—throughout the morning and tonight.
By this afternoon, the showers are expected to redevelop across central and northern parts of the country. The National Meteorological Service says boaters should exercise caution, as winds from the east at 10–20 knots are generating moderate sea conditions with waves of 4 to 6 feet.
Looking ahead, fairer weather is expected to return by Monday, with only isolated showers forecast for the start of the workweek.
No tropical cyclone activity is anticipated in the Atlantic Basin over the next two days, according to the Tropical Weather Outlook.
