By Breaking Belize News Staff: Today, residents in Toledo East are going to the polls to elect a new Area Representative for Toledo East.
The PUP’s standard bearer, former CEO Osmond Martinez challenges Dennis Williams for the seat. Punta Gorda’s Will Maheia is also running independently.
Recently, Prime Minister John Briceño joined Martinez on the campaign trail and said, “A new leader for Toledo East… walking the constituency with Dr. Osmond Martinez. We are ready for tomorrow July 17th by-election and to continue the work of #PlanBelize.
I invite all residents of Toledo East to come out and support Dr. Martinez who will continue the work and become the new Area Representative for the division.”
Meanwhile, Williams has also been campaigning in the constituency and was joined by UDP Leader Shyne Barrow.
