Protected Areas Conservation Trust participate in South-South Exchange Regional Workshop for Accredited and Potential Accredited Entities in the Caribbean

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On February 21, 2024, the Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) participated in a South-South Exchange Regional Workshop for Accredited and Potential Accredited Entities in the Caribbean.

During discussions, representatives of PACT presented and spoke of experience, challenges, and lessons learnt as an accredited entity of the Green Climate Fund and the Adaptation Fund.

The workshop, held in Kingston, Jamaica from 20-21 February, was hosted and organized by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Center under the framework of the project “Small Island Developing States Capacity and Resilience (SIDAR) Programme for the Caribbean” which is funded by the UK Government.

Other participating Belizean institutions were the Development Finance Corporation, Belize Social Investment Fund, and the Ministry of Economic Development.
