Protected Areas Conservation Trust host stakeholder consultation workshop under Readiness and Preparatory Support grant

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) hosted a stakeholder consultation workshop under Readiness and Preparatory Support grant.

Participants included key stakeholders in the development of a Grant Award Mechanism for the Belize Social Investment Fund (BSIF).

The workshop was funded by the Green Climate Fund, under the Readiness and Preparatory Support grant implemented by PACT. 

The project entitled “Enhancing Access for Climate Finance Opportunities, through pre-accreditation support to Belize Social Investment Fund (BSIF) and Ministry of Economic Development-Belize and technical support for Belize National Protected Areas System (BNPAS) Entities” is currently supporting BSIF with targeted institutional strengthening that will be essential in their pursuit of accreditation to the GCF and support the resource mobilization and climate response in Belize.
