By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: With U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration looming, countries are preparing since Trump has shared his mass deportation plans.
During an interview with 7News Belize, Prime Minister John Briceno said that Belize will not be a third country for mass deportations.
“No we will not accept it. We are a sovereign nation and they cannot force us to accept people that are not citizens of this country and as far as I am concerned we are not going to accept any citizen that is not Belizean. Any Belizean that they send back we welcome them we need workers so we don’t have a problem with that,” PM Briceno said.
