By Zoila Palma: Today, Belizeans around the country gathered at their municipalities to celebrate National Flag Day at flag raising ceremonies.
The symbolic flag raising ceremonies mark the official beginning of the September celebrations.
This year’s theme is 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲@𝟰𝟰: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿.
Prime Minister John Briceno reflected on Belize’s history on National Flag Day.
“Today starts our national celebrations month. Unified under our flag, we reflect on our history, with eyes, hearts and actions that tend towards our continued aspirations.
On National Flag day – we celebrate Belize@44 – Stronger Together, Rising Forever,” the Prime Minister expressed.
