Prime Minister John Briceño says livestock industry plays vital role in Belize’s development

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Prime Minister Briceño applauded the Belize Livestock Producers Association (BLPA) for its contributions to Belize’s national development, on Saturday at the 45^th BLPA Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the BLPA headquarters in Belmopan.

Prime Minister Briceño was the guest speaker for the occasion.

“The Prime Minister spoke of the crucial contributions of the livestock industry to Belize’s national development and reiterated his administration’s commitment to making the industry more productive, competitive, and sustainable,” the Government of Belize Press Office said.

“BLPA is grateful for the Prime Minister’s support and looks forward to continued collaboration towards a thriving livestock sector in Belize,” the BLPA said in a social media post.

According to the BLPA, over 600 farmers attended the AGM.

The BLPA also thanked the farmers and businesses who participated in their successful AGM.
