By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Prime Minister John Briceño expressed enthusiasm for more GST-free weekends in 2025 during an appearance on Love FM today.
He hailed the GST-free weekends held in December as a resounding success under his administration.
Briceño congratulated businesses that participated offering sales and taking full advantage of the GST-free initiative.
He also praised Belizeans for supporting local businesses and spending within the country.
Looking ahead, the Prime Minister confirmed that more GST-free weekends could be planned for the Christmas season.
Official figures on the economic impact of the initiative will be released after January 15.
