By Zoila Palma: Today, the Office of the Prime Minister announced that Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana will undertake a State Visit to Belize from 1st to 3rd February 2026.
During his visit, President Ali will address the opening of the new session of Parliament.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that President Ali is the Lead Head of Government in CARICOM for agriculture, and in an effort to strengthen regional cooperation, investment and trade, will undertake a visit with the productive sector.
It is expected that a number of cooperation agreements will be signed.
President Ali will also hold bilateral meetings with Dame Froyla T’zalam, Governor-General of Belize and Prime Minister John Briceño.
“Belize and Guyana have historically shared strong and robust bilateral relations grounded in our commitment to regional solidarity, development and integration,” the Ministry said.
