By Zoila Palma: On February 1, 2026, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, arrived in Belize for his first state visit.
He is accompanied by Hugh Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Guyana, along with a delegation of investors and business leaders.
The President arrived at the Philip Goldson International Airport, where he was welcomed by Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade; Ambassador Amalia Mai, CEO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade; and the Belize Defence Force Honour Guard.
President Ali will address the House of Representatives today and is scheduled to tour several businesses in the Agriculture sector.
