By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Premier League of Belize club Progresso are playing a preseason friendly on Sunday, January 7, in preparation for the Premier League of Belize (PLB) 2023-24 Closing Season that kicks off on January 13.
Progresso are playing Orange Walk Football Association’s Mi Gente at 4:00 pm at the Louisiana Football Field. Mi Gente are the present leaders of the OWFA 1st Division Championship.
Progresso finished in third place in the PLB 2023-24 Opening Season behind Verdes and Port Layola falling to the latter in the semifinals.
The entrance fee will be $5.00.
Progresso will kick off the PLB 2023-24 Closing Season against Benque Viejo United at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk on Saturday, January 13.
