The third match of the 2025 Premier Women’s League of Belize (PWLB) opening weekend, featuring defending champions Sagitun GIRLZ FC and Cayo Dreamers FC, was postponed on Saturday, September 13. The anticipated clash, originally scheduled for the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence, left fans in eagerly awaiting but had to be called off because of wet condition of the pitch after the constant rains.
While the Football Federation of Belize has not yet confirmed a new date, Breaking Belize News learned that Sagitun GIRLZ initially proposed Wednesday, September 17, for the rescheduled match. However, the Cayo Dreamers were unable to accommodate that date.
As of now, Sagitun GIRLZ are hoping the match can be played by next Wednesday, September 24. Additionally, there is discussion that the game might be relocated to the FFB Stadium in Belmopan, though confirmation is still pending.
