By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Premier Women’s League of Belize (PWLB) Week 4 kicks off with a highly anticipated clash between Sagitun GIRLZ and Jewel Fury on Saturday, April 5, at 6:00 pm.
Both teams enter the second round of the competition tied at 7 points, with Sagitun GIRLZ leading the standings on goal difference. Sagitun has netted 13 goals while conceding only 2, giving them a +11 goal difference. Meanwhile, Jewel Fury has scored 12 goals and conceded 3, holding a +9 goal difference.
The two sides previously met in the first round in Belmopan, where they played to a 1-1 draw, showing just how evenly matched they are. Now, with sole possession of first place up for grabs, Saturday night’s encounter at Louisiana Football Field promises to be a crucial battle.
