By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Three rounds into the Premier Women’s League of Belize (PWLB) 2025-2026 Opening Championship, Napoles FC lead the standings with a perfect record and a staggering +26 goal difference. But the race is far from settled—Sagitun GIRLZ, the reigning champions, and Corozal Elite remain unbeaten and just two points behind, each on seven points after their recent 1–1 draw.
Napoles have dazzled with 27 goals and only one conceded, but they’ve yet to face either of the other undefeated sides. When they do, the top of the table could shift dramatically—or reinforce Napoles’ early dominance.

The rivalry is set to reignite when Napoles meet SAGITUN GIRLZ, the side that denied them the title in last season’s final. Then, Napoles were in their maiden championship run, and the GIRLZ edged them to claim the crown. That history adds extra fire to their looming rematch, with Napoles now looking stronger and more clinical.
Corozal Elite, meanwhile, have shown balance and composure, scoring ten and allowing six. Their draw with the Sagi GIRLZ last weekend was a tactical stalemate that kept both teams in the hunt but allowed Napoles to widen the gap.
Jewel Fury FC sit fourth with three points, while Jaguar Girls and Cayo Dreamers FC continue to search for their first win. The Dreamers, still goalless, face mounting pressure as the league intensifies.

What’s Next?
With Napoles yet to face either SAGITUN GIRLZ or Corozal Elite, the next few rounds could prove decisive. If either of the chasing teams manage to take points off the leaders, the title race could open wide. Matchday 4 promises tactical intrigue and a chance for the chasing pack to level the playing field.
