On Saturday, October 5, Napoles FC maintained their flawless start to the 2025–2026 Premier Women’s League of Belize Opening Championship with a 2–0 victory over Sagitun GIRLZ at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence.
The visitors struck early, with Roshanny Narvaez scoring in the 12th minute and Khalydia Velasquez adding a second in the 17th, securing Napoles’ fourth consecutive win.
“Top of the table is where we are! We have worked hard to reach the top and we hope to keep the momentum going for the rest of the season!” Napoles FC said in a social media post on Monday.
Napoles now lead the PWLB standings with 12 points and a +28 goal difference. Sagitun GIRLZ, sitting third with 7 points, will need to regroup quickly to stay in playoff contention.
The champions have taken the loss in stride.
“Even champions slip!” Sagitun GIRLZ said on social media , promising to jump back on the saddle.
