The Cayo Dreamers FC have officially withdrawn from the Premier Women’s League of Belize (PWLB) 2025-2025 Opening Championship, bringing an early end to a difficult campaign in which they failed to win a match, score a goal, or contain their opponents.
The Dreamers conceded 83 goals in eight matches while recording no goals of their own. Unlike the other teams, who had each completed nine games, the Dreamers still had one pending fixture against the Jaguar Girls. The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) confirmed that that match along with their final scheduled match of the regular season. That match would have pitted them against Jewel Fury.

FFB Statement
The Football Federation of Belize issued the following statement on Tuesday:
“Dreamers FC have officially withdrawn from the tournament. As a result, all of their remaining scheduled matches have been cancelled and will not be played. Please take note of the updated final round schedule, which will be held on Wednesday, December 3, at the FFB Stadium:
- Corozal Elite FC vs Napoles FC – 6:00 PM
- Sagitun Girlz FC vs Jaguar Girls – 8:00 PM”
A Tough Campaign
Beyond the heavy defeats, the Dreamers had also been struggling to take full teams to their last few matches. Despite those difficulties, the players who did show up continued to represent the Dreamers with courage and determination.
With the Cayo Dreamers’ exit, the Jaguar Girls and Jewel Fury benefit from the awarded points but the standings keep Jewel Fury in the top four and Jaguars in fifth.
