Wagiya SC earned a crucial 1–0 win over Napoles FC at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga on Sunday, September 27, 2025, thanks to a late strike by Jonard Castillo in the 82nd minute during the 2025–2026 Premier League of Belize Opening Championship.
After a goalless first half, both teams pushed for the breakthrough, but it was Wagiya who capitalized on a defensive lapse when Castillo found space in the box and fired home the winner. Napoles, who had beaten Wagiya 2–1 in their first-round meeting, were unable to replicate that success and now find themselves slipping in the standings.
Wagiya climb to fifth place with 10 points (3W–1D–3L), while Napoles also remain on 10 points but fall to fourth due to goal difference. Napoles have scored 11 goals with a +3 margin, while Wagiya have netted 9 and hold a –3 differential.
