By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Premier League of Belize is set for an exciting midweek clash as Wagiya SC take on Port Layola FC in a back match at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 7:30 pm.
The match was originally scheduled for Sunday, August 11, at Dangriga’s Carl Ramos Stadium but was postponed as Port Layola had to travel for their Concacaf Central American Cup away match against Águila in El Salvador.
This match is crucial for both teams as they look to improve their standings in the league. Port Layola FC, the reigning champions, have had a rocky start to the season and are eager to bounce back after their recent 1-0 loss to Progresso. Currently sitting in fourth place with four points from one win, one draw, and one loss, Port Layola will be looking to secure a much-needed victory to climb up the table.
