By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Napoles FC were forced to settle for a 1–1 draw at home on Sunday as Wagiya SC earned their first point of the 2025–2026 Closing Championship at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.
Napoles took the lead just before halftime when Daijon Daniels struck in the 45th minute, sending the Capital side into the break with a 1–0 advantage.
Wagiya, however, kept themselves in the match and were rewarded late in the second half. Clay Flores equalized in the 76th minute, securing a valuable point for the Dangriga club and marking their first result of the campaign.
Napoles pushed for a winner in the closing minutes, but Wagiya held firm to close out the match 1–1.
