Premier League of Belize: Wagiya battle Progresso in Orange Walk, aiming to regain top-4 spot

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Sunday’s Premier League of Belize 2025–2026 Opening Championship fixture kicks off at 3:30 pm in Orange Walk Town, where Progresso host Wagiya at People’s Stadium.

Progresso, currently second, have picked up 17 points from ten matches. They have won five, drawn two, and lost three, scoring 23 goals with a +10 goal difference. Their attacking form matches that of Verdes, but defensive lapses have cost them points.

Wagiya sit fifth with 11 points from nine games. They have won three, drawn two, and lost four, scoring 11 goals and holding a -6 goal difference. A win here would bring them closer to the top four and shake up the standings.
