By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Verdes FC extended their perfect start to the Premier League of Belize 2025 Belmopan –2026 Closing Championship with a 1–0 victory over FC on Saturdday night at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen.
The match remained tightly contested throughout the first half, with both sides showing discipline and organisation. Neither team managed to break through, and the score stood at 0–0 at halftime.
The breakthrough arrived in the 73rd minute, when #77 Desmond Wade produced the decisive moment of the match. Wade found space inside the area and finished calmly, giving Verdes the lead and sending the home supporters into celebration.

Belmopan pushed forward in the closing stages, but Verdes managed the match with composure, maintaining their defensive structure and securing another clean sheet.
The result gives Verdes their fourth consecutive win, keeping them top of the table with 12 points from four matches. Belmopan, who entered the fixture in third place, were unable to add to their tally and remain on six points
