Verdes FC, unbeaten through 11 matches, cemented their dominance with a 2–0 win over Progresso on Saturday in Benque Viejo del Carmen. The result lifted Verdes to 27 points and guaranteed their top-seed status heading into the postseason. Verdes have been in playoff position for several weeks and remain the only undefeated team in the league.
Port Layola also secured their playoff berth this weekend with a dramatic 3–2 victory over Belmopan FC at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City. The win elevated Port to second place with 21 points, six clear of fifth-place Napoles and one ahead of Progresso.

Despite their loss to Verdes, Progresso locked in the third playoff spot with 20 points from 12 completed matches. Though they can still be mathematically overtaken by Belmopan in the standings by goal difference, they are now out of reach of Napoles, who have only one game left and sit on 13 points.
That leaves the fourth and final playoff position up for grabs. Belmopan FC currently hold that spot with 14 points and two games remaining. Napoles trail by just one point but have only one match left to play. Wagiya, sitting on 11 points, also have two games left and could leapfrog both if results go their way.
The midweek clash between Belmopan and Wagiya, scheduled for Wednesday In Dangriga, will be pivotal. A win for either side could dramatically shift the playoff picture heading into the final weekend.
Meanwhile, Benque Viejo United remain at the bottom of the table with just one point from 11 matches and were officially eliminated from playoff contention a long time ago.
