By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Verdes are the sole leaders of Premier League of Belize 2023-24 Closing Championship by 10 points over their closest competitors.
After winning their first 10 of 11 matches, Verdes total 30 points, and already clinched the top seeded playoff spot.
Port Layola, Altitude, and Benque Viejo United are at a distant 20 points each.
Progresso are in fifth place with seven points and have a slight possibility of making the playoffs.
Police Benque in sixth place with eight points, Wagiya in seventh with six, and Bandits in eighth place, have long ago kissed the playoffs good-bye. The three are in a fith to avoid being last place.
