The match was tighter than expected given the teams’ positions in the standings and the Green Machine’s 7-0 rout in the first round.
Verdes found the breakthrough in the 52nd minute when Eldon Reneau struck the only goal of the match. Despite dominating possession and creating multiple chances, Verdes were unable to extend their lead, but their defense held firm to secure the clean sheet.
With the win, Verdes remain top of the table with 17 points from seven matches (5W–2D–0L), boasting 17 goals scored and a +14 goal difference. CSC, meanwhile, remain winless with just one point and a –24 goal margin.
