Progresso FC host Belmopan FC in a high-powered encounter of the 2025–2026 Premier League of Belize Opening Championship on Sunday, October 5, at 3:30 pm at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk. The match pits one of the league’s most prolific attacks against its most disciplined defense.
Progresso have scored 14 goals this season—second only to Verdes—but sit sixth with eight points due to defensive lapses. Belmopan, third with 10 points and a game in hand, have conceded just two goals all season and could climb to second place with a win.
This clash of styles—firepower versus resilience—could have major implications for the playoff race. Both teams will be eager to make a statement in Orange Walk.
