By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Premier League of Belize 2025–2026 Opening Championship reaches a boiling point this Sunday as Week 6 delivers its most anticipated fixture yet: second-place Progresso FC host league leaders Verdes FC at People’s Stadium in Orange Walk. Kickoff is set for 4:00 pm.
Both teams are tied on 8 points, but Verdes FC lead the standings thanks to a superior goal differential and an unbeaten record. Their well-balanced squad has impressed with both attacking flair and defensive discipline. Progresso, boasting the league’s highest goal tally, will look to capitalize on home advantage and leap into sole possession of first place.
This top-of-the-table clash could redefine the title race and set the tone for the second half of the season.
