On Sunday afternoon, October 5, Progresso FC clinched a dramatic 1–0 win over Belmopan FC in Week 8 of the 2025–2026 Premier League of Belize Opening Championship, thanks to a stoppage-time penalty at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk.
After a tense and physical contest, Latrell Middleton broke the deadlock in the 90+1st minute, tapping the ball into the net after it was headed his way from a cross into the box, securing all three points. The win lifts Progresso from sixth to third place with 11 points, while Belmopan remain fifth with 10.
