By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Premier League of Belize will kick off its Week 9 matches on Thursday, March 12, when Port Layola face Progresso FC at 7:30 pm at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City. The match had originally been scheduled for Sunday, March 15, but was brought forward due to the unavailability of the venue for the weekend.
The shift gives Progresso an early opportunity to apply pressure on league‑leaders Verdes, while Port Layola look to regroup at home after a difficult run of results.

• Port Layola vs Progresso FC
Thursday, March 12 – 7:30 pm
Marion Jones Sports Complex, Belmopan
This matchup opens Week 9 and sets the tone for the weekend.
• Napoles FC vs Benque United
Saturday, March 14 – 7:30 pm
FFB Stadium, Belmopan
Both clubs sit level in the standings and will be pushing to break away from the congested mid‑table.
• Wagiya SC vs Verdes FC
Sunday, March 15 – 4:00 pm
Carl Ramos Stadium, Dangriga
