On Wednesday, August 6, Napoles edged Wagiya 2–1 at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan. Kyle Thomas scored in the 15th minute and again in stoppage time (90’+4’) to secure the win. Rasheed Thomas had equalized for Wagiya in the 38th, but the visitors couldn’t hold off Napoles’ late surge.
Napoles enter the second round in third place with 10 points and a +4 goal difference, level with Belmopan and just four behind leaders Verdes. Wagiya sit sixth with seven points and a -4 margin. With a midweek home match against Verdes next Wednesday, Napoles will look to build momentum and possibly climb into second place. Wagiya, meanwhile, aim to capitalize on home advantage and avenge their earlier defeat.
- Benque Viejo United vs Verdes FC – Saturday, 7:30 pm, Isidoro Beaton Stadium, Belmopan
- Progresso vs Port Layola – Sunday, 4:00 pm, People’s Stadium, Orange Walk
