Premier League of Belize: Napoles rally late to hold Belmopan FC to 2-2 draw in season finale

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Napoles FC came from behind to earn a 2–2 draw against Belmopan FC on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan, closing out the regular season of the Premier League of Belize 2025–2026 Opening Championship with late drama. Belmopan led 2–0 at halftime through a 25th-minute goal by Izon Gill and a 40th-minute own goal by Krismar Martinez. Napoles responded with a penalty from Daijon Daniel (54’) and a stoppage-time equalizer by Keon Badillo (90+7’).

Belmopan finish fourth with 18 points and a +11 goal differential, securing the final playoff spot. Napoles end fifth with 14 points and a –1 GD, narrowly ahead of Wagiya. Both teams miss out on the postseason but showed great detrmination in their final outing.
