By Rubén Morales Iglesias:
Currently in fourth place, Belmopan FC, who qualified to the playoffs on their 3-1 win over Wagiya on Wednesday, still have a shot at third place. If they defeat Napoles and overturn Progresso’s +15 goal difference (currently at +11), they would leapfrog into third—provided they win by at least five goals.
That shift would alter the semifinal matchups: Belmopan would face Port Layola instead of Verdes, while Progresso would be matched against the unbeaten leaders.
Napoles, meanwhile, will be looking to end their season on a high note and disrupt Belmopan’s ambitions. Expect a motivated clash with final rankings and playoff pairings on the line.
Week 12 Fixtures Recap:
- Napoles FC vs. Belmopan FC – Saturday, 7:30 pm, Isidoro Beaton Stadium, Belmopan
- Capital Sports Club vs. Wagiya – Saturday, 7:30 pm, FFB Stadium, Belmopan
- Port Layola vs. Verdes FC – Saturday, 7:30 pm, Marshalleck Stadium, Benque Viejo
