Their first-round meeting on Saturday, August 9 at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen ended in a 1–1 draw. Felix Martinez gave Verdes an early lead in the 12th minute, but Daijon Daniels responded for Napoles in the 24th, earning the visitors a valuable point.
Verdes remain unbeaten atop the table with 17 points and a +14-goal difference. Napoles sit fourth with 10 points and a +3 margin, level with Belmopan. A win for Napoles would bring them within four points of the leaders and move them into second place ahead of Port Layola (11 points). Verdes, meanwhile, will be aiming to extend their lead and reinforce their dominance.
