By Rubén Morales Iglesias: On Saturday, October 11, at 7:31 pm, Capital Sports Club (Benque Viejo United) take on Progresso at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan in Week 10 of the Premier League of Belize 2025–2026 Opening Championship. The fixture sees the PLB’s bottom side face a top-three contender, with Capital Sports Club still searching for their first win of the campaign and Progresso looking to consolidate their position near the summit.
Capital have endured a torrid run, collecting just one point from seven outings and conceding a staggering 29 goals. Their -24 goal difference highlights defensive frailties that Progresso will be keen to exploit. The northern visitors, currently third with 11 points and a +3 goal difference, have shown attacking intent throughout the season and will aim to build on their 15 goals scored. For Capital, a spirited performance in Belmopan could restore some pride and offer a platform for the final stretch.
