By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belmopan FC delivered a second-half masterclass to defeat crosstown rivals Capital Sport Club (Benque Viejo United) 5–0 on Saturday, October 18, at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan during Week 6 of the Premier League of Belize 2025–2026 Opening Championship.
After a goalless first half, Belmopan FC surged ahead with five unanswered goals, including a hat trick from American-Brazilian striker Adrien Graffin.
Peruvian Freddy Romero opened the scoring in the 47th minute, with Brazilian Werley Ferreira doubling the lead in the 56th. Graffin then took over, completing his hat trick with goals in the 62nd, 68th, and 90+2 minutes to seal the emphatic win.
“First hat trick of my career, thank you God 
,” Graffin posted on Instagram.
The result keeps Belmopan FC firmly in contention as the championship heats up. They now move up to fourth place with 13 points, ahead of Wagiya, who remain at 11 following their 3–0 loss to Verdes. Belmopan FC also sit three points above the other Belmopan side, Napoles, who stumbled 5–1 to Progresso on Sunday evening.
