By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A post-mortem examination has confirmed the cause of death of Suemy Lizeth Esmeralda Chi, a 23-year-old woman who died as a result of a motorcycle accident.
According to police reports, the examination was conducted on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, between 9:12 a.m. and 10:26 a.m. at the Ladyville Medical Clinic on the lifeless body of Chi, a Belizean laborer of Billy White Village in the Cayo District.
The body was formally identified by a relative prior to the examination. The post-mortem was witnessed by a police officer and documented by a Scenes of Crime technician as part of standard procedures.
Medical findings revealed that the cause of death was acute traumatic craniomeningo-spinal cord injuries resulting from blunt force trauma to the head. The injuries were consistent with those sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Police investigations into the fatal incident remain ongoing.
