Port Layola, Benque Viejo United win in Premier League of Belize Weekend 3

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Port Layola and Benque Viejo United came out winners on Saturday night in Week 3 of the Premier League of Belize 2023-24 Closing Championship.

Port Layola defeated Police Benque 3-1 at the Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen.

Like Port, Benque Viejo United won away from home defeating the Belmopan Bandits 3-1 at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.

For their part, Progresso managed to pull off a late 2-2 draw against champions Altitude at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk.

Present leaders Verdes host Wagiya on Sunday at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio.
