Police seize suspected cocaine during search in Orange Walk

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Orange Walk have arrested and charged two residents of Carmelita Village following the discovery of suspected cocaine during the execution of a search warrant.

Authorities report that around 8:15 p.m., police conducted a search at the residence of 48-year-old Nigera Rhaburn, a Belizean businesswoman.

During the search, officers reportedly found a zip lock bag containing seven small transparent plastic bags with powdery substance suspected to be cocaine in Rhaburn’s hand.

Police say an additional transparent plastic bag containing suspected cocaine was discovered in the kitchen area of the residence.

Both Rhaburn and her husband, 40-year-old Eustace Rhaburn, were shown the items and placed under arrest.

The suspected cocaine was weighed in the presence of Nigera Rhaburn and amounted to 1.35 grams.
