By Aaron Humes: Investigations continue into Saturday’s fatal collision between a Ford van, a black Ford Escape SUV and a motorcycle at Miles 16 and 17 on the George Price Highway near Hattieville.
It was found that the SUV was reportedly speeding, police said today; but whether alcohol was a factor remains to be determined.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, Officer in Charge of National Crimes Investigation Branch (NCIB), “…information is that the black SUV hit the motorcycle, first, thereafter it swerved into the lane of the van, causing a head-on collision.”
The occupants of the van – Glenn Lamb, Jr., and Nelson Hemsley, were pronounced dead on arrival at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, while others have either been released or are receiving treatment and in stable condition.
