By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in the Orange Walk District are investigating a report involving the use of a computer system to transmit obscene and vulgar content after a woman lodged a complaint over a social media post.
According to police, on Monday, December 15, 2025, a 23-year-old Belizean woman of San Pablo Village reported that she was informed by her sister about an offensive post allegedly made about her on TikTok by a 15-year-old female minor.
The complainant stated that she is familiar with the minor and has been connected with her on the social media platform for several years. Upon checking the minor’s TikTok account, she reportedly observed a post made late on December 12, 2025, which included a photo of her accompanied by obscene, vulgar, and defamatory language.
The woman reported feeling embarrassed and distressed by the post and requested court action.
Police recorded a statement from the complainant, and images of the TikTok post were retrieved by an IT technician. Investigations are ongoing, and the minor is being sought in connection with the report.
