By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating the death of a man in Southern Belize.
On Wednesday, September 10, about 9:05 a.m., Edita Pop reported to police that her husband, 38-year-old Erando Pop, a Belizean vendor of Bella Vista Village, Toledo District, had departed his residence about 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, to conduct business in Placencia Village and had not returned home.
The body of Erando Pop was later discovered in a drain on 14th Street, Bella Vista, Toledo District. His body was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not confirmed whether the body sustained injuries or its condition as investigations continue.
