By Zoila Palma: The Belize Police Department (BPD) Drama Group concluded the national observance of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence today with a series of powerful presentations under the theme “Prevent to Protect: Ending Gender-Based Violence Begins With Us.”
Students from Pallotti High School, St. John’s College, and members of the Belize Coast Guard participated in the closing event, which focused on awareness, prevention, and support for those affected by domestic violence.
The Drama Group performed an impactful piece titled “Prevent to Protect,” written by ASP Stephanie Grinage, followed by a compelling drama that demonstrated practical ways individuals can seek help when facing domestic abuse or dangerous situations.
