By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police have detained and later charged a San Felipe man in Orange Walk for Handling Stolen Goods after a tool set reported missing earlier this month was allegedly traced back to him.
According to police, a resident reported on November 15, 2025 that a Trooper-brand socket tool set had gone missing from the back of a pickup sometime after 6:00 p.m. on November 14, when it was left secured in the yard. The following morning, the tool set was no longer there.
The complainant told police that after asking around the village, someone informed him that two individuals, identified only as Leon and Walter, were believed to be in possession of the tools. When questioned, one of the men reportedly stated that the tools were with the other.
Following police inquiries, a man from San Felipe Village was detained on November 27 pending charges. He was later formally arrested and charged with Handling Stolen Goods after investigators secured the required information and complaint.
