By Aaron Humes: Police have announced that in reference to the shooting death of Stephen Henry Jorgenson, today Friday, September 5, police formally arrested and charged 51-year-old Bernard Talbert for murder.
Jorgenson was killed on March 3, 2024, during a dispute over land in the Faber’s Road Extension area. He was at his home on Rio Bravo Crescent when an argument escalated.
According to police at the time, “Investigation revealed that Stephen Jorgenson was at home when Bernard Talbert arrived there, and they had a [land dispute]. Bernard Talbert produced a firearm and fired one shot, causing the fatal injury.”
