By Aaron Humes: Police this afternoon announced charges of murder against Shaquille Brian Perera, 28, of Ladyville, Belize District, along with attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, and grievous harm.
Perera is accused of the murder of Darnell Puerto and the attempted murder of Jehvon Ramclam on Christmas Eve night on Maskall Street, Belize City.
According to Police, the two men had a confrontation with a man who asked for his son’s mother, only to be told she was not there. He responded by threatening the duo to watch their mouths and vowed to return.
He and another person did so with blasts of shotgun fire that killed Puerto almost on the spot and injured Ramclam, who remains hospitalized.
