By Aaron Humes: Following the shooting of seven persons and the subsequent death of 39-year-old Keith Logan, on Wednesday, January 7, police formally charged 21-year-old Santos Absolom Chirinos, a construction worker from Bella Vista Village, Toledo District, with murder and escape from lawful custody.
The incident occurred on December 31, 2025, at the Feel Good Restaurant and Bar in Independence, Stann Creek District, where residents had gathered to ring in the New Year. Police said a gunman arrived on a motorcycle and fired at a specific target before fleeing, leaving six others injured.
Police are seeking one other person in connection with the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are committed to uncovering all details surrounding this tragic incident.
