By Aaron Humes: According to a police report, Alwin’s Supermarket in the Mountain View Boulevard area of Belmopan was robbed Wednesday night.
Two armed men on a red motorcycle, wearing helmets, are alleged to have entered the store and gone up to the counter around 8:30 in the evening. One of them jumped over and held up the cashier and customers with his weapon.
About $3,000 was taken and as the robbers were leaving, one was hit with a Belikin pint bottle by a bystander in the face, causing injury.
Police are investigating.
